The Grand Ducal Police report the arrest of a man and a woman in the early hours of 24 October 2026, at the Rives de Clausen in Luxembourg City. Both people were placed in a cell after a medical examination.

An argument after being asked to leave a venue

According to the Grand Ducal Police statement, a man had been asked to leave a venue after bothering other customers. An argument then broke out between him and the person in charge of the premises.

Officers found the man at the scene. The police say he would not calm down. A woman then intervened and did not comply with the officers’ request to keep her distance.

Backup called to the scene

According to the same statement, both people became increasingly hostile towards the officers and did not obey their orders. The woman allegedly struck a police officer’s hand several times; she was restrained. Backup was called as a safety measure.

The report published by Chronicle.lu confirms that the man and the woman were examined by a doctor before being placed in a cell. The police specify that their level of intoxication led them to be considered a danger to themselves and others.

Reports have been drawn up. The statement mentions neither the people’s identities nor any subsequent court decision.
